Are you passionate about education? Do you need some space and time – where no-one is vying for your attention – to gain clarity, develop your practice and explore how you can be of service to your students, your colleagues and your loved ones while not losing yourself in the process?
I have a Masters in Library and Information Studies and a PTTLS. I am a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and I have an ILM qualification in Coaching and Mentoring. I have trained people in information literacy, inc social media, for 16 years. I have organised conferences, spoken on large and small stages, and written numerous guest blog posts, articles and reviews. I have returned from maternity leave twice. Underlying all of this is a passion for lifelong learning and a desire for kindness.
You can often find me holding my coaching or meetings outdoors. I particularly like how getting in nature helps us to get out of our heads. My style is calming, thoughtful and encouraging. I am not a harsh task master - I am gently persistent in helping you make the changes you wish for.
Who I coach:
I coach academics and professional service staff. My background combines the UK Higher and Further Education sector with the world of information professionals. While I have an affinity with this area, it encompasses a large skillset in my clients which means I am open to working with others where I can provide value.
How I coach:
In our first coaching session, we can look at defining and honing a larger goal or getting some quick wins completed - it’s up to you. If you choose further sessions we can break down your goals into smaller, realistic and achievable steps. It can be hard work, mentally, to be coached and I will be your champion. I will be gently persistent in helping you achieve and surpass your targets. If you want to get a feel for me, my work and my personality (and I recommend you do) have a look at my LinkedIn page where I post videos, testimonials and stories.
Where I coach:
I can provide 1:1 in person coaching in the Beaconsfield, Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Wooburn Green areas - outside where possible. I can also provide coaching via Zoom and FaceTime.
Pricing:
If you are a Brunel University London member of staff, this is completely FREE as you have access to the coaching community. Contact me via my Brunel email address.
If you are not, please contact me via LinkedIn or via the contact form on my blog and we can discuss options.
